Hong Kong Cleanup Challenge, Trash-Reducing Program

 

Don’t Trash Our Future, What YOU DO Counts…

As we mention before, one of provinces in Indonesia which is Bali has a project for reducing trash. It is Bali Green Province. But, do you know about Hongkong`s Program for reducing trash? Yes, it is The Hong Kong Cleanup Challenge. Together with National Geographic Channel (HK) and Nomura, Ecozine makes this program.

 

Their missions are to empower Hong Kong’s Citizen to become active agents in keeping the environment trash free, to increase awareness for changing attitudes towards environmental protection, and to advocate for change in policy related to waste management, littering and pollution, and for environmental sustainability.

There are three challenges which are Coastal Cleanup Challenge, Country Cleanup Challenge, and City Cleanup Challenge. 

For the Coastal Cleanup Challenge, it is because Hong Kong has a special relationship with the ocean and the want to protect it especially from trash. By cleaning up the beach, this program can create awareness to the participants and make them love it more. 

Hong Kong’s country parks are one of our most valuable assets. That is why they also make Country Cleanup Challenge. They want people to keep seeing a beautiful vistas in Hong Kong without trash.This program wants to educate people about what is the advantages of not littering

 

City Cleanup Challenge will provide an eye opening experience for people to realize that we really need to clean our our city streets, offices homes and schools. City Cleanup Challenges can take the form of a single day cleanup or a longer-term monitoring activity!

Pasukan Oranges think that it is a very big step to do to reduce trash from Hong Kong. Indonesia should make one too for a better Indonesia. Well, let’s hope that many other countries will also make a program to reduce trash. But, it is made all for us. So, we are the one have make a step first. Let’s do it ! do not litter !
